The Cops Ride for Kids motorcycle ride to benefit POAT’s Holiday Gifts for Surviving Children was held on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 9 a.m.  We had one of the biggest groups ever with 769 motorcyclists enjoying a beautiful day with a ride to the Keys. We would like to thank everyone who participated in the ride and the coordinators who put this together.  The next ride is scheduled for May 2014.

Holiday GiftsWe would like to thank everyone who took the time out of their busy schedule to work at one of the donation tables at the malls this holiday season.  The joy our efforts bring to the children of our fallen brothers and sisters is huge and all of the volunteers who helped raise the funds for this meaningful program should take great pride in a job well done.

PAYROLL FUNDRAISING DRIVE – Our countywide recent roll call blitz explaining the services POAT provides and how one can donate was successful.  Many of the roll call presenters are actively involved in POAT and passionate about ensuring that POAT stays a viable resource for generations of law enforcement officers to come.  We are asking everyone who attended one of the roll calls to continue to get the word out about POAT.  Every federal, state, local and corrections officer need to be aware of and support POAT.  It would be a shame if there is an officer out there who has been stricken with a catastrophic event and is not aware that we are a possible resource for financial assistance. So please do your part and continue to support and educate your fellow officers about POAT.

Thanks for your support and stay safe.
