Happy Father’s Day
Rosemary Zore reflected back to Christmas Eve 1983 when she was seven years old and her father MDPD officer Robert Zore was shot and killed while responding to a suspicious person call. Even though her memories of her father are scattered and vague he has been a guiding light for her as she has moved forward in her eventful life. We would like to thank everyone involved in the planning and implementation of another memorable ceremony honoring all of our fallen heroes, as well as all of you who attended.
The Motorcycle Ride to benefit POAT’s Holiday Gifts for Surviving Children was held on Sunday, May 1, 2016, at 9:00 a.m. There were over 800 bikers who enjoyed the ride to the Keys on a beautiful sunny day and supported a great cause. We would like to thank the motor units from all of the police departments that assist every year in ensuring this is a safe and successful event. Thank You!
On Saturday, April 9, 2016, the POAT Walk Team participated in the Walk to Cure Diabetes at Zoo Miami. The POAT walk team raised $ 35,100 in sponsorship and donations. Since 2003, when POAT joined the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation by participating in the Walk to Cure Diabetes, we have raised $ 780,192. That’s something we can all be proud of! Thanks to everyone for your continued support year after year.
